World Health Organisation’s COVID-19 Special Envoy Professor David Nabarro says he ‘hopes’ between mass Omicron variant infections and booster vaccines there ‘will be a much greater immunity against coronavirus in the human population.’
Professor Nabarro says that research still needs to be conducted before the public can relax restrictions as Omicron infections rise in the UK.
