Eleven local authorities are to be placed into Scotland’s highest level of coronavirus restrictions.
The areas will enter Level 4 of the country’s COVID-19 measures from 6pm on Friday, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced.
The new restrictions mean all non-essential businesses will all close but schools will remain open.
She said they will lift after 21 days.
