A world-leading study has been given the green light to find volunteers who will be exposed to coronavirus in a bid to speed up the manufacture of new vaccines.
It has just been approved by the UK’s clinical trials ethics body, and will see up to 90 people aged 18-30 exposed to the disease in “a safe and controlled environment”.
The goal is to help to identify the most effective vaccines and accelerate their development.
