As COVID deaths in the UK reach their highest levels since early March, the government has said it is keeping a “very close eye” on the situation.
Daily cases have been above 40,000 for seven days in a row, with 43,738 new COVID cases reported on Tuesday and 223 deaths.
So given the rising infection numbers, why aren’t more people getting their booster jabs?
