The Deputy Chief Medical Officer Professor Jonathan Van-Tam has outlined how the usual development and approval phase for a vaccine has been accelerated in the coronavirus crisis.
He was speaking at a Downing Street news conference, where he was joined by Professor Wei Shen Lim from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) who spoke about the possible priority list for who will be given the vaccine first.
