Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg detailed the “fictitious legal services” that led to the 34-count indictment against Donald Trump in his first press conference after the former president was arraigned on charges of falsifying business records.
Bragg alleged that Trump lied about his own six-figure payments to his lawyer Michael Cohen when he described the exchange as reimbursement for non-existent legal services from 2017.
In truth, Bragg continued, the payout was Trump repaying Cohen for the latter’s alleged hush money payments to two women, including adult film star Stormy Daniels, who claimed to have had an extramarital affair with Trump.
