Does anybody else feel like we’ve been hearing a lot about Demi Lovato lately, but haven’t heard anything new FROM Demi in a long time? Well, it looks like all that suddenly changing, and it’s all happening at once. What’s up guys it’s Emile Ennis Jr here with Clevver News and Demi Lovato has been very active on Instagram lately. From her multiple Halloween looks, to debuting her new boyfriend, she’s been posting up a storm. Which is really unusual for Demi.So I knew it was only a matter of time before she posted something that we’ve all been waiting for.No, not her new man Austin Wilson. Though she is definitely excited about him too. Just yesterday, she shared a photo of him to the world along with a big red heart emoji. And he reciprocated with a photo of his own on Instagram. He even called her “my love” in the caption. The two likely met from running in the same friend circle. They both mourned their late friend Thomas Trussell III, who passed away last month from an accidental overdose. Um, yes, Demi, you know very much that we WOULD like to hear! And I just know the new music is going to be good. Producer Oak Felder and Demi have worked together before on some of her bops like “Sorry Not Sorry”, “Dirty Sexy Love”, “Daddy Issues”, “Only Forever”, and “Games”. He was also nominated for a Grammy in 2015 for working with Usher on his song “Good Kisser”.But Demi’s new song isn’t going to be for everyone, she warned. Her next instagram story showed just a picture of a microphone, along with the caption “Recording a song for my loyal #Lovatics, the ones who support me and whatever makes me happy…” This next part really got me. She said “If you hating – that ain’t you,” along with a hand waving emoji. “BYE.”Well, you said it Demi! We know Oak likes it, because he couldn’t stop dancing along. In a third instagram story, Demi just said a simple “yes!” with Oak rocking out in the background. We’re not sure what this new song is going to sound like yet. But her saying that it’s only for her loyal “lovatics” makes me think that it might not be the first single for a new upcoming album that she hasn’t announced yet.
She also posted a photo on her instagram story of Brookyln Heights, a Canadian drag queen who was one of the runner ups in a recent season of Ru Paul’s Drag Race.I’m not sure if she, too, is part of this song that is only for the most loyal lovatics. But it all reminds me of Ariana Grande and Victoria Monet’s song “Monopoly”, which was made as a celebration of friendship and success of Ariana’s latest album, “Thank U Next.”Before the song came out, she teased it as a song for her loyal fans who want to celebrate with her. The day before, back in March, Ariana tweeted “man, let’s drop it tomorrow night Victoria Monet. Seven rings is about to be number one for eight weeks and the album might go back to number 1 too. We need to celebrate tbh! life too short and too sweet rn.And this new Insta post by Demi seems to be replicating the same vibes. This will be Demi’s first song that she’s made since signing on with her new manager, Scooter Braun. He also has signed artists like Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Usher.Like most artists do, Demi likely signed a contract with Scooter that agrees she will release an album and do a tour within a certain amount of time.
This is pretty standard for musicians, especially once they already have an established career. So this could be the very beginning of a new era for Demi.
She signed with Scooter back in May, so it’s likely that we could get a whole new album from her by May of 2020. And maybe even a tour shortly after that. This is just my hypothesis! This will also be Demi’s first new music since her overdose last year. Back in December of last year, she tweeted that she plans to share her story with her fans when she was ready. So, if it’s true that she’s finally ready to open up, we are here for it and we are ready to support you Demi!Either way, I am a Demi stan and know this music will be powerful no matter what.I don’t think this FIRST song will cover the dark subject of her overdose. Mainly because I don’t think Oak would be bopping to something like that. But this is just the first taste of a very long process, so I’m sure we’ll see it all soon enough.
But let’s hear what you guys think. Are you here for new Demi music? Do you think this first song for her loyal fans will be about a serious subject? Or something more fun-loving. Let me know your theories in the comment section below!
