A wildfire in Argentina’s Cordoba province threatened homes and led to evacuations before it was contained on October 11, according to a local mayor. This drone footage shows just how close it got to the city of Villa Carlos Paz.
Footage recorded by Federico Krypner shows the fire on the horizon near Villa Carlos Paz.
No casualties were reported, though a “large number” of houses were destroyed, local media said.
One man was arrested over the incident, with local media reporting he was alleged to have lit a fire to make coffee.
