Female police force launch new campaign to encourage men to ‘do the right thing’

The murder of Sarah Everard pushed the issue of violence against women right to the top of the political agenda.

Much of the attention focused on what role the police can play in understanding the threats women face and placing the onus for action on men, rather than on women to avoid danger.

Now Sussex Police, a force led entirely by women, is launching a celebrity-backed campaign to encourage men to “do the right thing”.
