Gabby Petito’s parents Tuesday demanded Brian Laundrie turn himself and insisted he’s hiding somewhere and living off the land — as they slammed him for being a “coward” for refusing to speak to them about their daughter.
The slain 22-year-old Long Island native’s stepdad also revealed the heartwrenching moment he realized the body found in a Wyoming forest was Gabby’s — because the dead woman was wearing one of Petito’s favorite sweaters.
Gabby’s parents and stepparents, appearing on TV’s “Dr. Phil” show, said Laundrie’s unwillingness to cooperate with authorities and his subsequent disappearance are “infuriating.
“Somebody needs to start talking,” said Gabby’s mother, Nichole Schmidt. “I do believe [his parents] know a lot more information than they’re putting out there.”
Laundrie, the sole person of interest in Petito’s case, is the subject of a massive FBI hunt after he vanished just days before his girlfriend was found dead Sept. 19 in Wyoming.
