The city of Minneapolis has agreed to pay the family of George Floyd $27million (£19.4million) to settle a civil lawsuit.
Mr Floyd died in police custody last year which sparked worldwide protests.
Police officer, Derek Cahuvin, is charged with third and second degree murder as well as manslaughter in a separate criminal case.
