A group of divers in Mexico got the surprise of their lives recently when a whale appeared from nowhere right next to them and swallowed a ball of fish they were observing.
The rare footage was captured by Philipp Moser in Magdalena Bay in November last year.
“We were out to witness the fight for survival put up by the sardines and mackerel, hoping to find Marlins, dolphins, and tunas,” Moser said.
“A Bryde’s whale showed up out of nowhere and ate the whole bait ball before disappearing in the blue,” he added.
“It was an incredible experience, especially because it came totally unexpected!” he concluded.
