Government Minister says sorry for COVID failures

Conservative Party Co-Chair Oliver Dowden says the government is “sorry for the losses” families suffered during the pandemic, adding he hopes people recognise it was an “unprecedented crisis”.

He spoke to Kay Burley just 24 hours after his colleague Cabinet Office Minister Steve Barclay refused to apologise to her for the government’s handling of the pandemic.
