A powerful magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck north of the Greek island of Samos. Friday’s earthquake was followed by numerous tsunami warnings and is already responsible for multiple deaths and hundreds of injuries.

In footage filmed after the quake, locals can be seen running from the fast-rising water on the coast of the island. Hundreds of vehicles were caught in the floods while locals dashed to high ground.

Two teenagers were reportedly killed on the island of Samos. Turkey, which was also hit by the quake, announced that 12 people had died and more than 400 more have been injured in Izmir alone.
