Hailey Bieber is officially calling BS on the fake news surrounding her and Selena Gomez, and ready to put an end to all the toxic social media culture.
What’s up guys, it’s Emile Ennis Jr. back here on Clevver News, and if there’s one thing at the top of Hailey Bieber’s Christmas wish list this year, she’s just hoping the world can be a little kinder to one another… buuut sometimes, that may be a little too much to ask for…
Although Hailey has had quite the year… maybe even the best of her life, after her wedding to Justin Bieber, it doesn’t come without a bit of drama.
It seems like almost every week Hailey, Justin or the two are making headlines for something, whether they could help it or not, especially when it comes to Selena Gomez.
Fans have crafted false drama and began pitting Hailey against Selena, claiming that the two are feuding, shading, unfollowing, liking photos, not liking photos, honestly, I’ve heard it all.
But once again, Hailey has spoken out amid all the drama, as she recently sat down with British Vogue in an attempt to put the BS to rest.
In the interview Hailey began by explaining her thoughts on social media in general, saying QUOTE, “I think social media is a breeding ground for toxicity and people creating false drama between women and trying to put women up against each other and create these narratives that are just… toxic. I think that has to change and that has to stop.”
Touche, Hailey, touche.
One solution she mentioned was that she’d like to see, “…more people with platforms coming together and saying to each other, ‘let’s kill the conversation, let’s kill the fake drama, let’s squash all these things, let’s move on from stuff.’ Let’s not give people a reason to fuel fire and create drama and being rude to each other.”
This hasn’t been the first time Hailey was forced to speak out on the false rumors, and I’m thinking it won’t be the last.
She recently responded to an outlet who claimed she “responded” to Selena’s release of “Lose You To Love Me” with a cryptic song choice, she fired back, writing, “Please stop with this nonsense… there is no ‘response.’ This is complete BS.”
Her interview then took a turn for the better as she began to reminisce about the “best day of her life.”
Hailey said, “My wedding was the highlight of my year for sure. It was the best day of my life…I honestly just felt so happy; I was so content. There’s nothing like marrying the love of your life. It’s an indescribable feeling.”
As many fans have noticed, the two have yet to take a proper “honeymoon”… then again, if you really think about it, they’ve been on a few since exchanging “I Do’s”.
Must be nice, right?
As for actual honeymoon plans, Hailey said, “I think we travel enough where it’s kind of a honeymoon all of the time. Just being with each other, just getting to spend time alone can feel like that. We love to do little trips, we love to go away for the night or the weekend. I love to travel.”
But when it comes to actual goals for the new year, this girl’s got some big dreams that don’t just impact herself.
She plans to focus on giving back to the community, saying, “The biggest goal for me for 2020 is to get more involved in things that make a difference. There’s so much going on in the world. I would love to get involved in as much as I can and lend my voice to as much as I can, and I would love to speak on more things and talk to young women and encourage people to continue making a difference.”
And seeing that Hailey seems to be in the perfect position to initiate the change (between females especially), she went as far to say that one of her passions in life is women taking care of women.
She added, “We’ve come a long way already, especially in terms of women’s employment and women having each other’s backs. But I think we can do better – especially when it comes to educating younger women and the younger generation. I think we all just need to be a lot nicer.”
As for other projects, both Hailey and Justin are working on a major Calvin Klein campaign, but lest we not forget the best Calvin Klein campaign…
So while we wait for the new campaign to drop, I gotta hear your thoughts on Hailey’s interview, and do you think the Selena comparisons will stop any time soon?
