The parents of Harry Dunn have travelled to America to give evidence against Anne Sacoolas who is accused of causing his death during a fatal collision in 2019.
She used her status as the wife of a US diplomat to claim immunity before police could charge her.
Harry’s parents are now pursuing a civil claim against her through a court in Virginia.
They told Sky News the process has been gruelling.
