WARNING: Graphic surveillance video has captured the horrific moment a wrong-way driver slammed into dozens of Los Angeles law enforcement recruits on a training run — leaving some so injured, they lost their limbs.
The footage, obtained by KABC, shows the group of 75 recruits from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and nearby police departments running in tight formation along a street in Whittier just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Seconds later, an SUV comes into view and plows right through the middle of them.
Only a few recruits at the front of the pack had time to jump out of the way as the vehicle barreled toward them, the video shows. At least 25 of them ended up injured, including five left critically hurt.
