In full: PM confirms Afghanistan 'roadmap' but not if the US has refused Kabul airport extension

The UK flights have allowed 9,000 people to leave Afghanistan in the last 10 days according to Boris Johnson after his G7 virtual call.

It seemed to confirm reports from the US that the August deadline will remain and will see Hamid Karzai International Airport evacuations stopped by the end of the month despite some countries seeing the process as being too short.

He said: “We will go on right up until the last moment that we can.

“But you have heard what the President of the United States has had to say, you have heard what the Taliban have said.”
