A filmmaker from Bournemouth, UK, documents a stray cat’s journey to eventually moving in with his family.

The footage, filmed over the course of March to October, shows Robert Toomey and his family helping a cat, they named Boysie, go from a scared feline to a loving lap cat.

Robert explained: “A stray cat showed up in my mum’s garden one day. He was always scared of people but would come to visit us for food. One day he turned up with a nasty injury to his neck which wasn’t getting better after several weeks, so we took him to the vet to get treatment.

“Once his neck had healed we took him back to the vets to get him neutered so he wouldn’t keep getting into fights! After being neutered he became a lot friendlier towards us and started spending more time in the house. After a few weeks, it got to the point where Boysie spent 90% of his time asleep on my bed so I decided to get him microchipped so he can officially become part of our family,” Robert continued.
