US President Joe Biden has paid tribute to former US secretary of state Colin Powell following his death, saying he “could drive his Corvette Stingray like nobody’s business”.
The 84-year-old died following complications from COVID-19, his family said in a statement.
The former army general served in George W Bush’s administration from 2001 to 2005 and played a key role in the Iraq War.
