Podcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan praised “super-nerd” Mark Zuckerberg for his first-ever jiujitsu tournament this week, where he snatched silver and gold medals to the surprise of martial arts fans.
During Wednesday’s episode of Rogan’s immensely popular “Joe Rogan Experience,” he sat down with fellow stand-up comedians Kim Congdon and Sara Weinshenk for a discussion about comedy.
At one point, Rogan tried to convince the two women to take up Muay Thai, which is when the Meta CEO came up.
“Did you see Mark Zuckerberg won a gold medal in a Brazilian jiuitsu competition?” he asked. “Mark Zuckerberg is a f–king savage.”
Footage from the weekend bout in California showed Zuckerberg getting into a heated exchange with a referee after he called the match against the 38-year-old billionaire, believing he had tapped out after spending most of the fight on his back.
