Jordyn Woods is set to make her first official ACTING debut amid quite the tumultuous year, so it looks like things are only looking up from here…
What’s up guys, it’s Sussan Mourad back here on Clevver News, and it has been officially confirmed that Jordyn Woods just landed her first-ever acting gig following the whole Khloe/Tristan fiasco, so insert inspirational quote about cutting ties and it being “for the better” here… Too soon?
Anyway, People Magazine has exclusively confirmed that Kylie’s ex BFF is set to guest star on Season 2 of Freeform’s hit series Grown-ish. She is set to appear later in the season and will portray a freshman student named Dee, who is described as a “sweet soul with a soft-spoken and sincere vulnerability.”
WOW… doesn’t sound like Jordyn has to reach too far with this character… pretty much sounds like who she is!
Jordyn also posted a picture of her on set to her IG with the caption: I’ve been waiting to share this with you guys but I am SO excited to guest star on this season of #grownish ? it returns June 5th on @freeform ✨ This was the first role I’ve ever booked and I was nervous at first but I got past that and had the best time?? take risks and stay consistent to your journey, you never know what the world has to offer.
According to People, Jordyn will likely be sharing scenes alongside the show’s regular Trevor Jackson, who plays Aaron, the R.A. of Hawkins Dorm. The season is set to see Yara Shahidi’s character, Zoey, navigating the rest of her sophomore year after she admitted to cheating on a test. Zoey also discovers that one of her best friends Ana, played by Francia Raisa, has been hooking up with Aaron AKA her ex behind her back…
But that seemingly isn’t the only drama going down surrounding the show. Many fans disapprove of Jordyn’s new gig and have taken to Twitter to air out their dirty laundry over the fact that she hadn’t pursued acting before and this role fell to her based on her ‘celeb status’.
One user wrote, “Jordyn woods now having an acting career is ummm interesting. Sucks for all the girls working hard to become actresses” while another took the shade one petty step further writing, “Oh my word Jordyn Woods acting. You can’t even hear what she says when she speaks.” That’s pretty harsh guys…
But thankfully, there are SOME fans in support of Jordyn’s new venture… one fan wrote, “They tried to cancel Jordyn Woods but sis is here to stay.” Whether you’re for or anti Jordyn’s acting career, I know ALL y’all will be setting your DVRs once her episode nears. You’re not fooling me. I know I will.
