White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has been slammed by critics after getting testy with a reporter who pressed her about whether transgender females should be allowed to play girls’ sports.
EWTN White House correspondent Owen Jensen set Jean-Pierre off by asking what she would tell parents who might be “worried about their daughter’s safety” if they have to compete against “a person born male.“
“What you’re alluding to is basically saying that transgender kids are dangerous,” Jean-Pierre shot back. “You’re laying a broad kind of … example or explanation of what could potentially [be] happening.”
“That is a dangerous thing to say that essentially, transgender kids … are dangerous. And so that’s something that I have to call out.”
Jensen denied Jean-Pierre’s interpretation of his question, but the press secretary was unconvinced and referred him to the Education Department for his question.
