Little Mix may be topping charts and touring the world with their music, but even their lives aren’t perfect. Recently, the girls have been very honest about their personal struggles, especially Jesy Nelson, who has been very open about her mental health.

What’s up? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and Jesy Nelson of Little Mix just opened up about her mental health on Instagram Tuesday.

She wrote about how she experiences quote “random waves of sadness” and how she believes crying is healthy.

In her post she said quote, “Sometimes out of nowhere I’ll get these random waves of sadness and I don’t know why or how they get there but they just do. Most of the time when I have these moments, I just want to burst into tears and let myself be sad. Not so long ago I used to just hold it all in and try to forget about it, or think of things that didn’t make me feel that way to stop me from crying. But isn’t that ridiculous?”

And so many people are commenting on her post agreeing with her and discussing the importance of her message.

One person wrote quote, “This is such important advice! There is nothing wrong with having all your emotions, happy and the less happy ones and we need to process those feelings and go through them not around them”

And someone else said quote, “So many people, especially men feel ashamed to cry… they all need to read this ♥”

And we couldn’t agree more.

But this isn’t the first time Jesy has opened up about her mental health.

She recently collaborated with the BBC to produce an entire film about mental health.

She wrote on Instagram quote, “I’ve been telling my own personal story on mental health issues and online bullying. It’s been such an emotional rollercoaster filming this but I’ve met so many incredible and inspirational people along the way.”

And like Jesy mentioned, from early on in her career, she experienced some serious online bullying.

And back in 2016 she spoke to our sister Magazine Cosmopolitan about the bullying.

She said quote, “It used to make me cry. I was shocked at the time. I was a young girl and I thought, ‘What have I done to you? Why do you have to be mean to me?’ I’m not a nasty person and I took it to heart.”

But it looks like she has come a long way with opening up and letting herself feel and we can’t emphasize how important that is.

Just when we thought we couldn’t possibly love her more!
But I want to know what you think. What did you think of Jesy’s Instagram post? And do you like when celebs open up about their mental health?
