To say Liza Koshy is having an epic week would be an understatement. Her first episode of Liza on Demand Season 2 surpassed 73 million views, she starred on Will Smith’s YouTube Channel, and she even hung out with her ex David Dobrik. Things are happening people!
What’s up? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and I just felt like I had to round up everything going on in the world of Liza Koshy for you because right now, there’s a lot going on.
And even her ex David Dobrik is supporting her new show.
Which I have to admit, is super sweet.
Speaking of David, Liza also just opened about spending some time with David on Kevin Nealon’s YouTube show “Hiking with Kevin.”
Kevin straight up asked about their relationship status and Liza revealed when she last saw David.
She also mentioned that while she loved being honest with her fans about her breakup with David, she realizes that they might have been the cause for many other breakups. I mean David and Liza ARE the most relatable.
It’s nice to see though that they are hanging out and still friendly. We love Liza’s honesty and hope they can continue to be in each other’s lives.
Ugh I can’t keep up the act, not gonna lie, I still ship Diza and not even David marrying Jason Nash’s mom can convince me that he and Liza aren’t soul mates.
And fans agree.
One person tweeted saying quote, “i act as if im okay but deep down im still waiting for the “WE ARE BACK” video from Liza Koshy and David Dobrik
And another said quote, “So are we ever going to get an update on them two? It has been a year and 4 months since posted and I cried for like the million time I’ve watched it ?? @DavidDobrik @lizakoshy”
But I guess maybe it just wasn’t meant to be. I GUESS.
Anyway, speaking of David and Liza, they both started on Vine and collaborated together back in 2013 until the app basically shut down over night in 2017.
She talked about it on this week’s episode of Hot Ones, which she was VERY excited to be featured on.
On this week’s episode, Liza opened up about what life was like when Vine was taken down.
She continued on and explained that everything they created on the platform was just gone except what was uploaded to YouTube.
By that point, she had already started her YouTube channel, but it was still upsetting to lose all that work, I mean she had 7 million followers when Vine shut down. That’s years of hard work!
Liza explained that she created an Instagram account where she would upload short videos basically as her new way to share Vine-type content.
But shockingly, these two appearances weren’t the only two Liza made on other people’s channels this week.
She also starred in one of Will Smith’s videos and the dynamic between these two is one I never knew I needed, but now cannot live without.
In the video Liza pretended to be Will’s CGI stand in slash stunt double and the video is appropriately titled “I Had To Fire Liza Koshy.”
And I don’t know why but I started laughing right away when looking at Liza in this greenscreen jumpsuit. Her body language is just priceless.
She and Will do a variety of scenes together, each one being funnier than the last.
Obviously it didn’t work out for Liza and Will’s video description said quote, “This is why sometimes you just gotta do your own stunts.”
But everyone loved the video.
Fans were flooding the comment section loving the dynamic between these two.
One person wrote quote, “Liza Koshy’s sound effects at the end had me dying! ??? Most hilarious part of the video ???I love when Will make videos with her!”
And another said quote, “Liza and Will are the internet father daughter duo I didn’t know I needed ?”
And I’ve got to say, all these appearances on other people’s channels has me wondering if Liza will get back to vlog style videos any time soon.
On Hot Ones she spoke about taking time off YouTube in that sense, but it will be interesting to see if she gets back to vlogging any time soon.
I mean… she’s kinda doing it everywhere besides her own channel.
But for now we have PLENTY of Liza content to consume and I am loving it.
