Northern Ireland Secretary Brandon Lewis said Matt Hancock had “made the right judgement” in resigning as Health Secretary.
Mr Hancock resigned as Health Secretary after he was pictured in an embrace with aide Gina Coladangelo last month, which broke his own coronavirus rules.
“I accept the frustration and anger people have,” he told Sky News’ Trevor Phillips On Sunday programme. He added: “We are going to focus on continuing to rollout the vaccines.”
