These rubbish-collecting “samurais” are on a mission to keep Japanese streets clean.

The duo from Hyogo Prefecture has developed a strange art form that combines samurai sword moves and picking up discarded trash from the streets of Tokyo.

“I hope that many people around the world will see this activity and that it will be a garbage-free world, ” said one of the “samurais’, Yushi.

“I would like to draw attention with the flashy performance and tell you that littering is bad,” the 26-year-old added.

The bizarre clip was filmed in October last year.
