They say truth is often stranger than fiction. And in the lives of some of the most famous women in the world, you really can’t make up some of the stuff that happens to them. Except this time, when someone totally made up a breakup.
Whats up guys it’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and despite what you may have heard, sources close to Miley are saying that she and Cody Simpson are still very much together.
It was reported Monday that the two are currently taking a break from their hot and heavy relationship.
I don’t know about you guys, but taking a ~break~ after a month long relationship seems like a breakup to me!
Either way, it doesn’t matter because the two are still an item.
Gossip magazines like OK!, The Herald Sun, and The Mirror all reported yesterday that the couple was calling it quits and, quote “Cody was joining the list of Miley’s exes”.
But today multiple other outlets reported that this was false information and that Miley and Cody are still going strong.
And they might actually be better than ever by taking the next step in their relationship.
See, it all started last month when Miley was hospitalized for a tonsil issue.
She was diagnosed with tonsilitis and immediately had to get her tonsils out while she was in the hospital.
And Cody was there for her every step of the way.
But while she was there, doctors also discovered a separate issue with her vocal cords. Issues that she had apparently had for years, but never knew.
So this past week, after a reasonable recovery period from her tonsillitis, Miley had to undergo another throat surgery for her vocal cords. This is a fairly common issue that affects musicians that stress their vocal cords often, like Miley does.
Adele ruptured her vocal cords after singing on a French radio program in 2011.
More recently, Grammy nominee Sza also had to undergo a long period of rest after her vocal cords were swollen.
Now, Miley is mending from a pretty invasive surgery.
And that’s really deterred her from talking, singing, or really using her signature voice at all.
But just because she’s on the mend doesn’t mean she’s not having fun with it.
She’s spending most of her recovery time in her home state of Tennessee
Where she’s dancing on the floor with mom Trish and her sister Noah
And spending time in her happy place near the record player.
And Cody is also spending time in his happy place – that is, anywhere Miley is.
Sources close to Miley say that Cody actually went to visit her while she was back home.
“Miley and Cody saw each other last week when he visited her in Tennessee. They are fine and are still dating,” the source said. “Miley has been resting from her vocal surgery but has been in touch and seen Cody recently.”
But although things are heating up between the two of them, Miley is trying to be open and honest about her expectations for the relationship.
The source said, “Miley always made it clear to Cody that she likes to have freedom and he always understood the dynamic of the relationship. They have been friends for years and will always be, and are currently fine and on great terms.”
It seems like “freedom” is a recurring theme for Miley. In addition to the line “Don’t f with my freedom” in her recent hit song, Mother’s Daughter,
That seemed to be a long standing issue in her relationship with Liam. Multiple sources have said that the two could not find a happy compromise of their work/life balance.
But obviously, work is still an issue for Miley. A source said Miley “has a busy schedule and a lot of work commitments that have kept them apart,”
But when her and Cody aren’t busy, they’re spending as much time as they can together.
So for now, these two are going strong! No word yet if they’ll be spending Thanksgiving together, but if I were Cody, I’d DEFINITELY be pushing to hang out with the Cyrus family for Thanksgiving.
