Some say virginity is a social construct but losing it was a defining moment for Miley Cyrus, and not for the reason you think
What’s up guys it’s Sinead deVries with Clevver News and Miley Cyrus talked to Elle Magazine about losing her virginity and the end of Hannah Montana.
The interviewer asked if Miley ever felt like she wanted to “break out of the Hannah Montana mold”,
To which Miley responded, “I did once I was 18 because it felt ridiculous. The minute I had sex I was kind of like I can’t put the fucking wig on again…It got weird”
I mean, yeah I can see that.
Miley played a young teenage superstar on one of Disney’s most successful shows of the early 2000s, Hannah Montana.
And like anybody would, Miley grew out of her role.
She said, “One time I went backstage at Disneyland, and Peter Pan was smoking a cigarette. And I was like, “That’s me. That’s the kind of dreams I’m crushing”.
But all in all, Miley says that she’s proud of the work that she did on Hannah Montana and the legacy that she left behind.
“It’s pretty cool when you hear Cardi B was listening to Hannah Montana when she was in high school. That shit makes me happy.”
The show ended right after Miley’s 18th birthday, and she also says that she knew it was coming to an end for a while before it actually did.
Of course she has gone through many phases since then, and says that her 20s are for figuring out just who she is.
