The Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng has defended the government’s decision to halt the suspension of former minister Owen Paterson, saying he feels no shame.
Mr Paterson was found guilty by an independent review for taking £500,000 to lobby for two companies.
Mr Kwarteng spoke to Sky’s Kay Burley from the COP26 summit in Glasgow, and he began by explaining plans to cut public funding for fossil fuel energy, saying ‘the end of coal energy is in sight.’
