But the headlines today aren’t about the climb, they’re about the “pittance” Netflix paid for it. Reports indicate Honnold received roughly $500,000 for the life-risking stunt, an amount he called “embarrassingly small” compared to mainstream sports contracts.
That’s when the MrBeast took to X to publicly called out the streaming giant, claiming he’d have easily beaten their price to get the stunt on YouTube.
