Fauci, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser rejected trying to sell vax door-to-door in awkward video | NY Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/_sKVJ_i-FVw Dr. Anthony Fauci and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser got roundly rejected when they went door-to-door pitching the COVID-19 vaccine at the height of the pandemic, newly unearthed video shows. A clip from the upcoming episode of PBS’ “American Masters” series shows Fauci, 82, and the Democratic mayor making the rounds in the Anacostia neighborhood in June 2021, Fox News reported. At the time, he was the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. “They’re sort of the disenfranchised group that we’ve got to reach out to,” Fauci says to the camera, referring to the residents of the historically black neighborhood where vaccination rates were low. One man greeted the duo with a heavy dose of skepticism. Read more at https://nypost.com/2023/0...

Sen. Lindsey Graham bets Al Franken $20 that Trump beats Biden in 2024 | New York Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/R6FOjSTavqo Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham is putting his money on former President Donald Trump to beat incumbent President Joe Biden in 2024. During an interview on “The Daily Show” Monday night, the South Carolina conservative bet $20 on Trump to win his third run for the presidency. “I look at the policies of Trump, and I like the policies of Trump,” he told guest host and former Democratic Sen. Al Franken. “And at the end of the day, he’s got to prove to people, not me, that he’s able to lead us again, and that will be a challenge for him.” Graham, 67, added, “And that’ll be a challenge for Biden, to say, give me four more years after the last four. We’ll see what happens.” Read more at https://nypost.com/2023/03/21/lindsey-graham-bets-al-franken-20-that-trump-be...

Uvalde cops admit they were too scared of school shooter’s AR-15 ‘battle rifle’ | New York Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/YIBGKlTZuMY Cops who failed to rush in during the Uvalde school massacre repeatedly admitted to being too scared of the teen shooter’s AR-15 “battle rifle,” according to a new investigation. Body-camera footage captured some of the first responders to Robb Elementary last May warning that shooter Salvador Ramos, 18, had an “AR,” according to a new report by the Texas Tribune. “He has a battle rifle,” someone warned, as another officer getting the same warning reacted with a blunt “F–k.” “What’s the safest way to do this? I’m not trying to get clapped out,” State Trooper Richard Bogdanski was heard asking while still outside the school. While mass-shooter training tells officers to risk their lives to immediately try to end the carnage, officers repeatedly admitted they...

Mystery lights over California were just ISS space trash, expert says | New York Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/RdhfjQKdH_M It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s just space trash! California residents near the Bay Area were left shocked and puzzled when streaks of lights were suddenly spotted in the sky during Friday’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Viral video of the phenomenon had many quickly jumping on the idea of UFOs or another one of Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites launching, but famed astronomer Jonathan McDowell said it was nothing more than space junk burning up in the atmosphere. McDowell, of the Harvard–Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, said the lights were caused by debris tossed from the International Space Station in 2020, which remained in orbit for years before finally crashing. “It probably almost completely burnt up during re-entry, but any small surviving debris...

‘Jeopardy!’ contestant wins game with wrong answer: ‘That guy got screwed’ | New York Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/ZMjjrCZvN6s Fans of “Jeopardy!” were in an uproar Monday night when a contestant won the game after mispronouncing Ewan McGregor’s name. The mayhem occurred after professor Melissa Klapper answered the $600 question under the “Quite the Fish Story” category. “The Force of Lasse Hallström was strong to pull in this Scot to play a fisheries expert in ‘Salmon Fishing in the Yemen,'” read the question. Klapper responded almost instantly with “Ewan Gregor.” Host Ken Jennings permitted the wrong answer without interruption, allowing Klapper to gain an edge over her competitors. However, the Force was not strong with Klapper as several of the game show’s fans rebuked the answer on Twitter. “Tonight there was a mistake on @Jeopardy the woman in the middle named Melissa said ...

Killer sentenced to 26 years after returning to murder scene to drunkenly tell cops ‘what happened’

News- US
http://youtu.be/CuTYQBEqSRA A British man was sentenced Tuesday to 26 years in prison for murder after he was caught on a body camera video stumbling back to the scene of the fatal stabbing, and telling a police officer, “I know what happened.” Marek Hecko, 26, from Chelmsford, Essex, has been found guilty of murder for knifing to death his romantic rival, 44-year-old Adrian Ellingford, who was in bed with the defendant’s ex-girlfriend. Ellingford, a married father of two, was stabbed twice in the back at a home in Nelson Grove on July 25, 2022. Just a few hours later, a body camera worn by a police officer guarding the crime scene recorded a visibly inebriated Hecko coming over while taking swigs from a half-empty bottle of brandy. Republican state Sen. Steve Drazkowski made the bizarre comment during a Tuesday floor session on Senate Bill 12, which would allocate $420 million over two years to provide universal school breakfasts and lunches. “I have yet to meet a person in Minnesota that says they don’t have access to enough food to eat,” Drazkowski scoffed. He went on to call the bill “basically fraud” and branded the measure “pure socialism” for trying to manage what children eat. Future NASA moonwalkers to sport sleeker spacesuits | New York Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/zjb6iKA4uAQ Moonwalking astronauts will have sleeker, more flexible spacesuits that come in different sizes when they step onto the lunar surface later this decade. Exactly what that looks like remained under wraps. The company designing the next-generation spacesuits, Axiom Space, said Wednesday that it plans to have new versions for training purposes for NASA later this summer. The moon suits will be white like they were during NASA’s Apollo program more than a half-century ago, according to the company. That’s so they can reflect heat and keep future moonwalkers cool. The suits will provide greater flexibility and more protection from the moon’s harsh environment and will come in a wider range of sizes, according to the Houston-based company. http://youtu.be/PsNLwL_wSm0 Dramatic video captures a small plane carrying six people — including a 3-year-old and a newborn — floating safely to the ground in Brazil after the pilot deployed an onboard parachute during an emergency. The single-engine Cirrus SR22 suffered engine failure shortly after it took off from Pampulha Airport in Belo Horizonte, in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, about 11:30 a.m. March 11, Air Data News reported. But disaster was averted when the pilot deployed the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System, commonly referred to as CAPS — which is a whole-plane recovery system that has so far saved 249 lives. “Pilot reported loss of engine power during cruise, attempted return to airport, and activated CAPS when realizing there was insufficient glide range,” the C...

US releases video of Russian jet colliding with drone | New York Post

News- US
http://youtu.be/YQHiBjo8IV8 US military officials have released a dramatic video of the moment a Russian fighter jet collided with a US drone over the Black Sea earlier this week. The footage shared Thursday morning by the US European Command (EUCOM) was captured by the underside camera of the MQ-9 Reaper drone as one of two Su-27 fighter jets attempted to spray it with jet fuel. On the second try, the jet collides with the drone’s rear propeller, and the screen pixelates as communication goes down. An audio clip also purported to capture a Russian salvage team recovering the aircraft’s engine casing. “We raised part of the object,” one voice says in the recording obtained by East to West.
