Police searching for missing Sarah Everard have discovered human remains in woodland in Ashford, Kent.
Met Police Commissioner Cressida Dick said at a news briefing: 'This evening detectives and search teams investigating Sarah's disappearance have found, very sadly, what appears to be human remains in an area of woodland in Ashford in Kent.'
The 33-year-old went missing on Wednesday 3 March while walking to her home in Brixton from nearby Clapham in south London.
A serving Metropolitan Police officer was arrested on Tuesday night on suspicion of kidnap and later of murder.

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that a serving police officer and a woman have been arrested in connection with the search for Sarah Everard, who disappeared a week ago in Clapham in London.
Assistant Commissioner Nick Ephgrave described the arrest as "serious and significant" and the suspected connection with the officer as "shocking and deeply disturbing."

A female member of Gov. Andrew Cuomoβs staff has become the sixth woman to accuse him of inappropriate conduct, according to a report Tuesday.
The woman told associates that Cuomo touched her inappropriately late last year inside the governorβs mansion after she was summoned there on official business, the Albany Times Union said.
The Times Union said it was withholding her name because she couldnβt be reached for comment.

Buckingham Palace have issued a response to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's interview with Oprah Winfrey, saying issues of race are 'concerning and will be addressed'.
Harry and Meghan gave an explosive interview with the chat show host which aired in the UK on Monday night.
A Palace spokesman said: "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."
