The COVID-19 vaccination programme is about to become a victim of its own success.
'Second-dose debt' - the requirement that everyone who receives a first dose should get a second within 12 weeks - will mean millions will have to wait for their jabs.
At its simplest, it means that if 400,000 first doses are delivered on a given day, the programme then needs to deliver 400,000 second COVID jabs to those people in around 12 weeks just to stand still.

Boris Johnson says the lifting of the lockdown will not be affected by restrictions to the vaccine supply in the UK.
The NHS said yesterday the roll-out of jabs to the under-50s would be put on hold for at least four weeks, raising fears that the lifting of lockdown could be delayed.
But the Prime Minister said the vaccine programme would continue as planned – as would the ending of restrictions – with every adult offered a jab by the end of July.
