Required lateral flow tests run out for care homes and schools as people stock up in the lead up to Christmas.
Anyone who is identified as a contact of a COVID case is required to take a daily lateral flow test.
The government has assured the public that there is enough of a supply of tests and encourages people to continue to try and book them or visit a local pharmacy to collect one.
