An Oklahoma elementary school is facing calls to fire its drag queen principal who once faced child porn raps, according to a report.
Shane Murnan — who performs as “Shantel Mandalay” when in high heels and makeup — was tapped as John Glenn Elementary School’s top administrator in Oklahoma City in June, according to Fox News.
The outlet reported that Murnan was charged with possession of child pornography more than 20 years ago — but the case was dismissed because it couldn’t be proven that the images depicted minors.
According to The Oklahoman, Murnan was working as a fifth-grade teacher at the time and resigned from his position before later re-entering the profession.
