Olivia Jade and her mum Lori Loughlin are back on speaking terms while investigations in the college admission scandal continues.

What’s up Guys, it’s Sussan Mourad back with Clevver news and it seems that Youtuber Olivia Jade, who’s been involved in one of the biggest college admission scandals to date, is back on speaking terms with her parents after shutting them out for weeks.

You might remember, or should I say, how could you forget, that Olivia’s parents, Lori Loughlin, aka Aunt Becky from Full House, and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were accused and arrested for paying $500K in bribes to ensure Olivia and her sister Bella a spot at USC. Lori’s parents have pleaded ‘Not Guilty’ and are now facing a court fight and potential decades in jail.
According to a new report from US Weekly, at least for now, Olivia Jade is back on speaking terms with her parents after weeks of giving them the cold shoulder after cutting ties with them, ‘hiding out’ and moving in with her boyfriend.

Over the past month however, Olivia Jade has reportedly began to shift her perspective from being angry at her parents’ actions to empathizing with them. A source told US Weekly, QUOTE: “Olivia was angry with her parents at first, but now realizes that they were just trying to do what’s best for her. Olivia loves her mom and dad very much, but is especially close with Lori.”
In addition to loving and empathizing with her parents, there’s another reason for the change of heart, Olivia herself may be called to court, and so the investigation has started to reunite them.

Olivia’s parents have pleaded ‘not guilty’ and rejected the plea deal for their charges that would have required the couple serve 18 to 24 months of jail time. A source previously told People that, QUOTE: “They decided to roll the dice… and it may have been a bad gamble. Now they’re in worse shape than before.”
That state now includes having the investigation opened up to their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose. Last week there were rumours that Olivia Jade could be investigated by the Department of Justice because she was allegedly aware of the crew team scam of placing her and her sis as rowing team recruits to guarantee their admission.
And now, a source at Us Weekly is confirming that possibility and has said that the case prosecutor wants to call both Olivia and her sister Bella as witnesses in the case and that each girl has their own lawyer to navigate the mess.
Meanwhile, outside of dealing with her legal issues, according to the source, Olivia reportedly has another priority at the moment and that is “focusing on how to turn this around so she can be famous for the right reasons again.”

Hmmm, I mean, you could start a project with your parents to create opportunities for other kids aspiring to go to those colleges with the talent, but who don’t have the money to pay their tuition… and maybe using a percentage of your YouTube and brand earnings towards that… But, I mean, what do I know?

Also, Olivia’s sister Bella who left instagram in the midst of news of the scandal breaking, has now returned to the platform but still has her comments disabled.

So what are your thoughts on all this? What would you like to see happen in this case and investigation? And what are your thoughts on parents doing whatever it takes to get their kids into college?
