Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies says doping investigation is 'better late than never'

Olympian Sharron Davies may have her medal upgraded to gold 41 years after she won silver in the 400m individual medley at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.

The British swimmer was beaten by Petra Schneider of East Germany, who later admitted to being part of a state-sponsored doping programme.

Husain al-Musallam, the president of swimming’s global governing body FINA, has promised to confront historic doping scandals.
