President Trump said he is slashing red tape to speed up the FDA’s testing for possible coronavirus vaccines and treatments. He announced that existing drugs, including one prescribed for malaria and some forms of acute arthritis, are being tested for treating coronavirus and could soon be available to the public. Although Trump gave no exact timeline, he added, “Nothing will stand in our way as we pursue any avenue to find what best works against this horrible virus.”
