Attention Royal family stans, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry unfollowed Kate Middleton and Prince William on Instagram! Yes you heard that right. Even with all the crazy drama brewing across the pond, Harry and Meghan’s exclusive list of Instagram followers just got even smaller.
What’s up Clevver fam? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. with Clevver News and we are here to break down why on earth Harry and Meghan would unfollow the entire Royal Fam.
We know the tabloids have been saying there’s a whole lot of drama going down between Harry & Meghan Markle and the rest of the royal family!
The accounts the Duke and Duchess of Sussex no longer follow? Kensington Royal, Clarence House, The Royal Family, Princess Eugenie, and Prince Andrew. So something must be up right? Wrong.
Okay, so there’s actually a pretty legit reason why Meghan and Harry “Marie Kondo’ed” their IG.
Revealed that they’re rethinking the accounts that they follow to raise awareness for causes they’re passionate about.
And first up is Mental health. Which is fitting because May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
They posted on their Sussex Royal account a collage of mental well-being, body positivity, and self-care images from the 16 accounts they currently follow.
Harry and Meghan told their 5.4 million followers that quote “each month we will honor this same concept and change the accounts we solely follow based on a different theme or cause. Please go to our homepage and click “following” to see each of the select accounts and find out more about their work.”
Prince Harry has always made advocating for mental health a priority and we are so here for it.
In 2014, he launched Heads Together, an organization dedicated to eliminating the mental health stigma. And Heads Together made the cut as one of the few accounts Sussex Royals follows. Gotta go double tap right now.
So while William and Kate are still following Meghan and Harry, it looks like this isn’t a sign of more beef between Meghan and Kate.
