Labour’s Shadow International Trade Secretary Emily Thornberry says countries haven’t really provided plans for how they will reach net zero.
She said: “All that matters in the end is that each country has a plan to get down to net zero in a timely way. Getting there by 2060 is probably too late.”
COP26 is not just a “lap of honour”, she said, adding: “There needs to be serious work.”
