This is not a drill, Rihanna found herself a mini-me look-a-like, and she and the Internet are collectively freaking the freak out.
What’s up guys, it’s Emile Ennis Jr. back here on Clevver News, and yes, yes, I know we’re well over the phase of the celeb doppelganger, but when THE Robyn Rihanna Fenty AKA Rihanna is at a loss for words, we gotta talk.
While she’s on the verge of dropping some sort of music (and don’t @ me, I can feel it in my bones), Rihanna took to Instagram to share a photo of a young girl named Ala Skyy, whose mother posted a photo to Instagram, WHICH LOOKS LIKE A SPITTING IMAGE IF RIHANNA WERE LIKE 7.
She posted the photo with a caption writing, “Almost drop my phone. How?” And same. She also tagged the mother of Mini-Ri, named Bria, and after some creeping, it’s safe to say that Bria loves her little nugget as evident by the number of adorable Gilmore Girls-style photos of the two.
Five million Instagram likes later, the photo sparked shock from thousands of fans, along with Rihanna’s inner circle AKA Hollywood’s biggest A-Listers, including Snoop Dogg, who wrote, “When did u have a baby” and Priyanka Chopra with the simple, “Wow?!”
Although Rihanna has had a low-key summer, only making casual appearances on social media for her Fenty Beauty line and upcoming philanthropic Diamond Ball in September, she explained that she’s taking time to balance her personal life, as well as new music on the horizon.
And yeah, I know I’m being selfish when I say, WHEN WE GETTING NEW MUSIC, but I’ve gotta be happy for Rihanna for taking time to get in tune with her inner peace and putting her mental health first. She revealed to Ocean’s 8 costar Sarah Paulson for Interview Magazine that QUOTE, “It’s only the last couple years that I started to realize that you need to make time for yourself, because your mental health depends on it. I’ve made little things a big deal, like going for a walk or going to the grocery store. I got into a new relationship, and it matters to me. It was like, ‘I need to make time for this.’ I’ll shut things down for two days, three days at a time. On my calendar we now have the infamous ‘P,’ which means personal days. This is a new thing.”
Major props to Rihanna for doing her, but I’m just saying — I wouldn’t be mad if a little mini-RiRi was featured in some sort of musical project in the near future… just throwing that out into the universe.
