There was an Alito decision handed down by the high court Thursday — just not that Alito decision.
With only one day left on the Supreme Court’s schedule to release opinions in this year’s term, Americans are still waiting for a ruling on the intensely watched case that is expected to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade abortion ruling.
The high court handed down four opinions on Thursday that involved voter ID laws, state execution methods, Alito on Miranda warnings and the constitutionality of a New York concealed carry law.
The case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization — which concerns the legality of a Mississippi law that bans all abortions after 15 weeks except in cases of medical emergencies and fetal abnormality — was not ruled on.
