Russia has recorded its highest number of coronavirus-related deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Experts say the Delta variant and widespread vaccine hesitancy are largely to blame for the latest surge.
Despite the high figures, Russian authorities insist a second lockdown is not on the cards.
