A group of New Zealand sailors on board the HMNZS Otago filmed as their warship was smashed by monster waves on the Southern Ocean.
The sailors are heard gasping as their vessel is bombarded by huge waves as they patrol the sea near Antarctica.
After a wave crashes down on the ship’s deck, one sailor is heard saying: “I’m not going to lie I was kind of scared then.”
