Selena Gomez is gearing up for her biggest year yet. She’s got a movie coming out and she just let us know that her upcoming album is finally done.
What’s up guys it’s Emile Ennis Jr. with Clevver News and if you think it’s been a while since we’ve gotten any new music from Selena Gomez that’s because it has been… like a little too long!
BUT it’s all good Sel, because you finally delivered!
At the premiere screening for her new movie, “The Dead Don’t Die”, Selena confirmed that her next album is finally done.
She’s been teasing her new era for YEARS now, and in fact, this isn’t even the first time she’s told us that it’s coming soon.
In 2016, 8 months after Revival dropped, she tweeted “After a few weeks in the studio bus, safe to say we are VERY close to album number 2.”
Now if you’re already scrolling down to write “Emile, sweetie, this is Selena’s FOURTH album” in the comments, Selena has said that she regards “Revival” as her debut album as an adult pop star, while “Stars Dance” and “For You” she considers as her teenage albums.
So 3 years after saying we’re close to getting her new album, we MIGHT actually be close to getting her new album.
Maybe.
And how can you not be excited? Evvvveryone is a fan of Selena Gomez. I’m a fan, you’re a fan, even her 68 year old co-star Bill Murray is a fan.
In fact, he’s so much of a fan that he said he would bring her home to his mother …
Granted, Bill’s mom is no longer with us, RIP, but still… at 68 years old saying you want to bring a 26 year old home to mom is a BIG DEAL !
Either way, I’m excited to see her and her new bff Bill in “The Dead Don’t Die.”
Because if she’s not going to release her album in the next few weeks, at least we can watch her kill a zombie or two in the meantime.
