Selena Gomez is taking this whole teasing new music thing to new heights with some potential song lyrics and BTS just announced a new collab. We’ve got all the music news you need to know so don’t go anywhere!

It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and there’s a lot going on in the world of music this weekThere’s on again off again rumors about Nicki Minaj and Adele potentially collaborating, Kylie Jenner might be the next big thing with her “rise and shine” moment, and Selena Gomez is playing with our hearts by teasing her new music.She’s been teasing new music for months now and has posted multiple times from recording studio sessions, but it feels like we’re getting closer to the actual thing.A couple months ago she posted these pics of her working on music and actually wrote quote, “just so you know, I see your comments, and I’m working on it…”
And earlier this year, a source told E! to expect new music next year. The source said quote, “She has also been writing new music in the studio and hoping to release something early next year. She is in a much better headspace and is really happy right now.”But a different source told Entertainment Tonight that we could even expect some new music possibly this year.They said quote, “Selena has been working on new music and plans to release some this year. The new music is going to be a different side of Selena and very personal. Selena has gone through a lot over the years and is ready to share it with the world.”And if I had to guess, at this point it seems like it’s going to be sooner than next year. Allow me to explain why…
On Wednesday, Sel posted this adorable throwback pic of herself with a very cryptic, lyric-worthy caption.She wrote quote, “We always go into it blindly.”
Ok we see you Selena, taking a note out of your BFF Taylor Swift’s book of dropping Easter eggs and clues.And Selenators also saw this and agreed with me.
Selena then went ahead and posted this black and white pic that looks like it could maybe be from a music video or something and wrote quote, “Rose colored glasses all distorted.”
So if those aren’t song lyrics… I don’t know what are.And fans can hardly contain their excitement on her posts.And honestly, I couldn’t agree more. We are ready for it Selena.
Then, Selena posted the most convincing least conspicuous clue yet. She shared this pic of her new Times Square billboard and wrote quote, “Ask Alexa to follow me… ? @AmazonMusic”Selena also posted this to her Instagram with the caption “I saw the signs and I ignored it.” tagging in @spotify”
OK I OFFICIALLY CAN NOT CALM DOWN. It’s happening!
If I had to guess, it seems like new music from Selena could be coming sooner than we think. I mean, I saw those eyeball emojis in her tweet.Let’s break this down. What day of the week does new music usually drop? Fridays. What day of the week is it today? Thursday.
BTS announced a new collab with Lauv for a remix of their song “Make It Right.” And ARMY is already counting down the minutes until it’s finally out.Not gonna lie, I was so excited when I saw that Lauv posted a photo of him and the BTS guys with the caption quote, “did I finally #makeitright?”To which BTS replied and said quote, “You always #makeitright”
Soon after they posted the pics together, BigHit Entertainment announced that the single will be released at 6 PM Korean Standard Time on October 18, which as I said before, is tomorrow.And if you’re wondering what time that is for you, it’s 2 AM PST and 5 AM EST tomorrow for us here in the U.S.
And eagle-eyed ARMY members recognized the photo of Lauv with BTS from when he went to BTS’s concert at Wembley stadium earlier this year. But for this promo Lauv photoshopped a different shirt on himself so he could match with the band for the announcement.And as exciting as it is, I’m not too surprised that Lauv is working with the BTS boys on a collab. He previously tweeted out to them saying that he wanted to work with them on a song.Back in April he tweeted saying quote, “@BTS_twt lets make a song”And fans also noticed that Lauv has hinted at this collab when he revealed on an IG Live with VH1 India that Make It Right was his favorite BTS song. And obviously, the BTS ARMY is flooding Twitter with their excitement for the collab to drop tomorrow.
