With just one day to go until Selena Gomez’s new song “Lose You to Love Me,” comes out, we are digging into the Selena Gomez archives for some throwbacks, just like she’s been doing to promote her album.

What’s up? It’s Drew Dorsey here with Clevver News and if you are an avid Selenator like I am, you know that Selena has been promoting her new single, which drops TOMORROW I repeat TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 23rd 2019, with a series of throwback pics.

She’s been posting pics like this, this, and this. (Have all of them lined up)

But instead of your classic TBT captions, she’s been opting for some song lyrics… likely from her upcoming single.

She’s said quote, “We always go into it blindly,” “I saw the signs and I ignored it,” “You promised the world,” “I gave my all and they all know it,” and finally, “I needed to lose you to love me.”

So I think it’s safe to say Selena is being cryptic AF with who and what her new song is about, but if I had to guess, it sounds like it’s about an ex.

*COUGH* JUSTIN BIEBER*

She’s been teasing this new music for a while now and I’m just glad it’s finally almost here.

A couple months ago she posted these pics of her working on music and actually wrote quote, “just so you know, I see your comments, and I’m working on it…”

And earlier this year, a source told Entertainment Tonight what we could expect from this new music.

They said quote, “Selena has been working on new music and plans to release some this year. The new music is going to be a different side of Selena and very personal. Selena has gone through a lot over the last few years and is ready to share it with the world.”

So you know I will be up til midnight waiting to hear this track.

And I guess we will just have to wait until tomorrow to know for sure what it’s about or atleast start making our conclusions!

But until then, we are keeping ourselves busy by looking back at some of Selena’s most iconic music moments over the past few years.

What can I say, we were inspired by the throwbacks!

Let’s start with one of her most iconic performances of all time, her performance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2015.

Sel absolutely crushed this performance and looked stunning while doing so. 2015 was such a huge year for her with the release of her album ‘Revival’, so it was only fitting that she slayed this stage.

She performed a medley of her songs “Hands to Myself” and “Me and My Girls” during the show. And many of her fans at the time credited her for rocking the runway just as well as the trained models.

The performance aired in December so it was the perfect way to close out the year. I definitely think it was one of her most engaging performances of all time.

Another iconic Selena throwback her music video for her song ‘Hands to Myself.’

She reached a whole new level of sexy and mature with this music video in which she spent the majority of it in just a negligee rolling around in bed.

But let’s try to put all the sexiness aside for a second, because there was more that went into the idea for making the video and the meaning behind it.

Selena explained to E! News the idea behind the video.

She said quote, “I wanted the idea of this video to be two different versions of being in this fantasy. I think everyone can have those moments where they’re dreaming of what their life could be, especially girls with love. Being obsessed with the idea, and you can’t control yourself. That’s what you want no matter what’s happening.”

She continued on and said quote, “You get to see these images of what people think love is. It’s theatrical, it’s movie-like. And all of that you end up seeing ends up being a false reality on both ends. That’s what I wanted it to feel like.”

But I want to know what you guys think.
