It’s finally here and we were ready for it’s arrival. However, you may want to buckle up because Shane’s new series featuring Jeffree Star is going to be a wild ride.
What’s up y’all?! It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and after months of teasing and the trailer that dropped last week, Shane has finally released the first part of his new series and it was everything. So we have to break down what we learned in Part 1.
So we already knew that it was going to be called “The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star”, but we did not know that the opening credits were going to be so epic. And I’m not talking about the Honey sponsored ad at the start of the video, even though that was pretty epic too. B-ROLL
I’m talking about what came after Shane spent some time showing us what some of the series is going to entail, as well as flashing back to the first series he did with Jeffree. Spoiler alert. What came was an incredible opening sequence that had me saying YASSSSS because I don’t think any of us were expecting an intro like this.
I had to go to Twitter because I knew that I couldn’t be the only one that was shook.
This tweet captured what I was feeling perfectly saying, “You really made an actual tv show for us! I am so proud and in awe of yours and @AndrewSiwicki talent! Best new show of the fall season! I jumped up, screamed “yasssss” and started clapping when I saw the opening credits and theme song! Can we order an extended season?!“
I completely agree, but let’s get to the tea that was spilled. Shane made it clear in the opening that all of this that we see is real and unstaged. And before we even get 10 minutes in, there is already drama. We’re immediately transported back in time to when all of the Gabriel Zamora and Laura Lee drama was going on. And then we go to February 26 of 2019 and that’s where there’s some real drama between Ryland and Shane. Ryland was upset because he was uninvited on a trip that Shane was going on with Jeffree. Jeffree didn’t give many details, but he did reveal that they would be going to a makeup related event and that Shane was going to have to take a private jet. But luckily Shane showed us how him and Ryland work problems out.
Ok all jokes aside, they did make up and Shane opens up about about how he feels when he sees YouTubers who started their platforms after him on Forbes list and how that does bring up some insecurities considering he doesn’t make anywhere near that amount, but diving into the makeup world could bring him a lot of money. But throughout part 1 we see some really special moments between Jeffree and Shane, especially when Shane opens up about is insecurities to Jeffree specifically with entering the beauty world and how he feels insecure about his looks. Jeffree gave the best advice.
Those people that Jeffree is talking about are the thousands of people that would be waiting to see Jeffree and Shane in Sacramento at the Morphe store. The first part of the series really explores a lot of Shane’s fears including flying on Jeffree private jet, joining the beauty community by launching a palette with Jeffree, and being surrounded by tons of fans at once, but of course it also came with drama and conspiracy.
Speaking of drama, Jeffree addressed all of the Gabriel Zamora drama and that tweet with the photo of Gabriel, Laura, Nikita, and Manny. He said that Gabriel came to his house and apologized. But then he said QUOTE, “We spent a few years together, a lot of the time inseparable. It’s sad because I genuinely love them. That’s why I was so hurt because it wasn’t a fake friendship. It was so real. It was crazy. But I think it’s like a breakup. Because bitch, I’m over it now.”
There was a solid chunk of the video where Shane starts to wonder what he’s gotten himself into. Because Jeffree has a bodyguard and full team, and Jeffree actually got a bodyguard for Shane as well who will shoot to kill apparently if anyone tries to harm them. But after Shane is settled in his hotel room that Jeffree got for him, Andrew asks him how he’s feeling about all of this, and Shane is definitely hesitant and Shane says that he feels like he’s QUOTE “with the mob boss.”
