With rumors continuing to spread that Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello had broken up, Camila decided to shut down the gossip once and for allWhat’s up? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and we reported last week about rumors that Shawn and Camila had gone their separate ways. It spread across social media after Shawn deleted a video of Camila from his Instagram feed.
You know THAT clip of the two of them kissing that we cannot unsee no matter how many times it’s deleted. I’m so sorry you have to see this again…Ok now that that’s over, let’s talk about what it might have meant for Shawn to delete this post. Even though he may have been doing us all a favor…In this day and age, deleting someone off your social media is definitely a telling sign that you and your significant other have broken up, right? Like the first thing all my friends do after their break ups is delete any trace of their exes off their IG feeds.And the kissing vid was Shawn’s most liked post to date, so it could be considered crazy that he just deleted it without any explanation.
And although these two have been photographed in public together packing on the PDA many times, they’ve actually been a little more low-key when it comes to posting pictures of each other on social media. So it was one of the only traces of their relationship on his page.But in the wake of all the break up rumors, they are actually getting a little more open about their love online.Be careful what you wish for guys, we have officially opened the floodgates of Shawn and Camila’s Instagram PDA.Let’s start with Camila’s post where she shut down all the people who were saying they broke up.She shared a screenshot of a headline that said there was “proof” that they were no longer together.
And in response to the headlines, Shawn also posted a picture of Camila kissing him on the cheek over the weekend and captioned it with just a simple heart.Camila commented a bunch of heart emojis on the pic, again, shutting down anyone who thinks these two are not together anymore.Shawn also posted this adorable pic with a quokka. And if you don’t know what a quokka is, you’re welcome. It’s pretty much the cutest little Australian critter ever and they are super friendly. Friendly enough to even take pics with tourists, like Shawn Mendes.
Anyway, Shawn posted this pic and wrote quote, “I met a Quokka !!!”
To which Camila responded and said quote, “I love this picture of us” further confirming that they are indeed still together.And don’t worry Camila, we get the message loud and clear. Still going strong.But even before these posts, I honestly had a pretty strong feeling that these two hadn’t broken up.These two have faced criticism and speculation since day one of dating, but at this point, I just want them to be happy. And it really does seem like they are together.The rumors that circulated speculated that the two were in a “fake relationship” that was crafted by their publicists to get their recent collaboration “Senorita” to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
While that seems extremely elaborate, I guess you never know.
But at this point, Senorita has gone number one and there would be no real reason for them to keep pushing it if it wasn’t real. So I am going to go ahead and say they are definitely together.And you can’t deny that this is love.And while there’s still no official word as to why Shawn would delete the post of them two kissing, I am just going to assume that he really did just want to spare us having to watch it anymore.Also, there were plenty of hate comments on that video so maybe he just didn’t want to look at them anymore.Either way, true fans weren’t surprised that he deleted the vid.
And he listened. Ask, believe, receive my friend. Hopefully we will get more cute pics of the two of them soon.Also, just a few weeks ago, Camila doubled downed on how much she loved Shawn.In an interview with UK’s Capital FM’s Breakfast Radio Show she opened up about their love and spoke publicly about it for one of the first times.So it wouldn’t make much sense why she would say that she loves him publicly, just a few weeks before they would supposedly break up. They are in a really good place and it seems like they are really happy. And despite their PDA, Camila did say that she wants to keep their relationship as normal as possible.
